The Benefits of Joining A Podcast Cult
Want to come to my basement? It doesn’t matter what couture label you use: there is no way to dress up that statement. If you want to start a podcast you can easily research information on mics, audio editing software, different recorders…gear is easy; humans are not.
There are ways to make your guests feel as good as James Brown and as happy as Pharrell.
We know this from our experiences participating in Girth Radio’s podcast network (which records in the Pacific Junction Hotel bar on King Street East). Several years ago we formed a community because making podcasts can be lonely. What we discovered is our model provides cool creative opportunities.
Our mighty moderator Dan Speerin will call on some of Girth Radio’s hosts to share their takeaways and tales about community and creating a scene, the warm value of curation, crafting a comfy environment, distribution and support, media training and PR opportunities for less known, less established guests. Join us for a session all about creativity, curation and the freedom that comes with collaboration.
There’s more than one way to podcast.
