Circular Design/Economy & Blockchain

Here I’ll talk about the intersection of Circular Design/Economy and Blockchain, 2 subject matters that I believe to be naturally linked. As human civilization continues to become more technologically advanced and human lifespans continue to expand due to improvements in healthcare and biomedical research & development we need to build more self-sufficient societies and systems. We need to become less of a take, make and waste society to a more take, make, and remake society. The blockchain is a technology that has emerged in recent times to possess intrinsic value in terms of social innovation and impact. Said technology has the potential to create self-sustaining and self-sufficient systems in a scalable fashion. This session explores this intersection within multiple industries and the kind of impact it could have on various societies from emerging markets to developed ones.
